An exercise of Oppo history, what vehicles have you owned, and the order you owned them in?
Pictures (not of the actual cars) would be great! I would like to think I have had a decent history of cars, starting from around 1996 through today.
And Go!
1974 Fiat X1/9- Same Color, without the rims and high engine cover, but with the bumpers missing just like this one. My dad had purchased this car new in 74, and it rotted in the garage until I got to drive it when it was mostly working again.
1997 Nissan Hardbody Pickup- 1 year lease, it was 98 bucks a month, and good for a first year college student.
1991 Saturn SL- Super base model, only thing I ever upgraded was the stereo, but you could make the shitty tires chirp in 3rd gear if you really wanted.
1996 Integra GSR- purchased from Carmax before Doug Demuro was cool. My first performance car. Had headers and a cold air intake on it already, lots of fun.
Got Married, so now the cars include both mine and my wife's vehicles from here down.
1990is Audi 80, I only rode in it 3 times before the rear diff shat itself on the highway. Wife's Car.
1998 Saturn SL2- first new car purchase, for the wife, didn't last but a couple of years because she hated driving it. Wife's Car.
1997 Mazda Miata M-Edition- replaced the Saturn, and we ended up owning the car for over 10 years. Wife's Car.
1997 Honda Civic EX Coupe, a downgrade from the Integra, but more affordable insurance wise.
2001 Ford Focus Hatch- A regretful purchase, car had been hit in the rear, did not show up on reports and I didn't know enough to see it when I picked out the car.
2006 Subaru Legacy GT- uppipe, downpipe and custom tune, very surprising car, but the seats were bad on my back so had to sell it
2009 Honda Fit- Good, but not enough engine. Wife's Car, but I ended up being the primary driver after I sold the legacy.
1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo, supposed to be a camping vehicle, but an electrical issue that I could never track down kept me from ever trusting it not to drain its battery overnight. First Automatic I have ever owned
2006 Volvo XC70- purchased to move to Seattle, then actually sold it soon after moving, only needed 1 car living in town. By far the best seats in any vehicle I have purchase, up until the last one. Second Automatic I have ever owned.
2007 Mini Cooper S- High Mileage example, and just needed repair after repair. But made for a good city car. Wife's Car.
Finally, the last car- 2015 Audi S4, Daytona Grey and the Black Optic Package.
All the pics are in the correct order, and the right color for all the cars, just for fun!

Didn't own it, but I drove it before I got my first vehicle, but a 2002 Trailblazer. Comfortable with a great engine, but absolutely terrible everything else.
First vehicle, 1995 4Runner. Has been down a week and a half in the entire 3 years I have owned it. Terrible gas mileage, extremely slow, decent seats, awesome for the offroading that I've done, and decent road trip vehicle.

1992 Chevrolet Beretta: Total base model, no options other than the three-speed automatic, AM/FM cassette, A/C, and a center console. No rear defrost, no cruise, not tilt wheel, no power trunk release. My grandad bought it for me in July 2005 for $1,250.00 with 71,425 miles. It also had the base power plant, a 2.2 liter in line four with 110 hp. It was UNBELIEVABLY slow. And, the transmission was slipping and failing the entire time I had it. It's a miracle it lasted until I sold it.
I was all about Berettas and I still really like them. I took this one and tinted the windows, got a stereo/alarm system, Beretta GTU wheels with color-matched inserts, a Beretta GT spoiler, and Beretta GTU ground effects. I turned 16 and got my license in May 2006, and I drove the Beretta until April of 2007.
This:
To this:
April 2007: I sold the Beretta for $1,700 (with 84,000 miles). I bought a 1999 Pontiac Grand am GT1 coupe with 103,000 miles for $4,500. It was an unbelievably mint two owner car that truly looked brand new. It also had every option possible. Leather, all power, sunroof, CD and cassette, etc. I was 17, so I of course added some tacky stickers.
August 2009: Traded the Grand Am in with 131,000 miles and a slipping transmission for $2,500 and bought this 2008 Mazda3 S Touring for $15,000 with 12,200 miles. I still have it today and it has 71,300 miles. No problems with it other than a motor mount that started leaking (changed it myself in fifteen minutes) and a $10.00 brake switch that I also changed myself in ten minutes. I've modded it a bit, with a MazdaSpeed 3 OEM exhaust, Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, color-matched headlight eyelids, tint, an OEM rear MazdaSpeed 3 valence, a red vinyl dash trim kit, and red calipers. All superficial mods but it's my daily and my only car, so I've always been more interested in drive-ability and reliability than anything else.

First car - 1949 Willys CJ3A. Picked it up in 2003 as an ex-mud racer in Kentucky and resto-modded it to an almost daily driver.
1988 Jeep Cherokee 4.0L 5psd 4x4, bought in 2005 because I needed a beater for high school and college. I put over 100,000 miles on this across 7 years until I wrecked it in the rain. I wasted a lot of money on this, but it was my daily driver. Intake, exhaust, header, bored throttle body, wheels, HD suspension, stereo, all that crap. I gutted it and installed Second Skin sound barrier products. I almost had the stroker engine in it but I wrecked it before the original motor could give out. Sads.
BAM! The New Hotness! 2002 BMW 330Ci with the fancy-ass sport package. I got this in 2013 after I wrecked the Cherokee. Even though it was over a decade old when I got it, this car has been a major upgrade over the 25 year old Cherokee I was driving. Great stereo, enough power to get you in trouble, and it is still very quiet on the highway. Too bad I still haven't gotten the control arms done, so it's sitting in the garage until I get back out there.
I'm not listing the Pilot because even though I drive it an pay the insurance on it, it's owned by my fiancee.

-1994 Honda Prelude - First car I paid 100% myself, still miss it
-2004 350z
-2003 Civic - Bought bc the z crapped out, slammed and on chromed wheels from previous owner... ugh... sold in less than 6 months
-2012 Scion TC - first brand new car ever purchased, so much fun for a little 200hp hatch
And my current lady..
-2013 370z nismo - The sexiest car I've ever owned

The X 1/9 was an interesting first car. It sat in my father's garage for over 10 years not running. When we did finally get it going for me, it had some electrical 'deficiencies'. I lived in Atlanta at the time, and you could only pick 2 out of the following 3 to work at the same time: headlights, defroster, or wipers. Made driving home, at night, in thunderstorms a more adventurous prospect than it should have been. The good thing was 2 seats, rear wheel drive, targa top that stored in the front trunk, manual transmission, and no power whatsoever to kill me.
It's why I tell friends with kids that a miata is actually a good first car.

2002 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 5MT: beat up I dont know how it managed to accumulate 150k in its 3 years before me, cost me more to keep running than to buy, but lots of sideways fun in the gravel/dirt/snow
2005 VW GLI 20v 1.8t: actually not a bad car mkivs get so much hate but really the last couple of years when they really tried they were decent.
2007 Mazda RX8: favorite car I ever owned, should have never sold it but oh well I have car ADD
2005 Subaru STI: pretty much a project car when I bought it but had 35k worth of performance parts in it. Very fast, very capable, but too loud and too absurd to drive daily
1999 10AE miata: owned by my father since new in 99 when he replaced it with a new Boxster S it came to me its in crazy good shape, trying to keep it that way, still have this one for when its nice out
2014 Focus ST: first new car ever, by far the nicest car I've owned but again... car ADD I'm already looking at trading it for something different

Mine is much shorter (and more boring) than most, but here it is! haha
1st car
2000 Corolla
(pictured below): As slow and conventionally boring of an automatic econobox as it was, I had a lot of fun in that car and it is an excellent first car.
Last car
2005 4Runner SR5
(pictured below): For a RWD SUV, it could hang with most of my friends while off-roading in the Arizona desert, and fared pretty well through last winter in Illinois on all-seasons. It was a very convenient vehicle in terms of space and features, even as a base model. Only real gripe was that the seats weren't the most comfortable, especially on long drives. I also probably would have kept it if it was 4WD.
Current car
2013 Scion FR-S
(pictured below): Easily (obviously) my favorite so far. This has been one of my dream cars since the concepts started to come out quite some time ago. Every day driving with is has been a joy, and no matter what kind of day I'm having it will always put a smile on my face. It has also opened the door for me to start racing (autocross/rallycross) and helped me to make a lot of friends, during a time when I was feeling kind of down because I didn't have many friends after moving to a state where I didn't know anyone. There really isn't anything about the car that disappoints me. Yeah there's the torque dip, but it's still a lot faster than anything I've owned before. It handles like a dream, has been more than capable this winter, looks amazing, and is an absolute blast to drive on the road and at the track. I love it.
(The day I bought her)
(Sideways fun on a frozen lake)
(Spending time with friends)
Can you tell that I like Toyotas and am a little obsessed with my current car? haha

Nice post on the X, I enjoyed driving it for about 2 years, then I was going to school 2 states away, and it didn't seem like the best vehicle to take away to college in the back wood on North Carolina. I was not even sure there would be anyone who knew how to work on it. That's why it got replaced with the truck.
I did end up buying it from my dad and driving it from atlanta to huntsville, al. Took it to one autocross event, it threw the water pump belt and overheated. It never really recovered from there, I ended up selling it to someone that was going to make it a dedicated racer. It has fairly sound even sitting for all of those years.

Ha … actually that sounds scary. That shape is damn near perfect though. Also I actually read through your cars and we had the same year/trim ZJ. Ever take yours off road? and I can confirm the electronics completely sucked. Went through so many sensors.

The most off road we got was taking it down washboard dirt roads in northern arizona, nothing that most people would call extreme. 2 camping trips at most and I had to keep a jump box in it at all times. I actually installed battery cut off switches so that way I could preserve the juice every time I turned it off. I took a multimeter and went through the whole damn car trying to find the electrical drain, sold it a year after I got it, lost money on that one.
It did have the good 4WD system, that was about the best thing it had going for it.
It was a sign when the guy on craigslist met me in the parking lot of a strip club, he said that he was attending a bachelor party, but I am a bit suspect on that story these days.

That's cool you got to drive it for 2 years, wish I'd have been able to drive the x 1/9. Would have been an awesome first car! I drive my m edition in backwoods NC (around Asheville) currently, but there are so many "roads" that shouldn't qualify as roads though. I've been impressed by how well it has held up.

This may take a while. The colors may be off, but the models will be correct. Prepare to be mostly underwhelmed.
Mine was blue, not red
Tint the windows and this one would have been my car's twin.
And then there was this landyacht. 455 Rocket engine and a few go fast parts....
This picture is actually full size.
'79 Brat with rusted through floor boards. I gave it a viking's death.
Next... 1980 Chevy Citation. My friend called this beast "Glamecisus" Not sure why. This is pretty accurate of the state most of these were in. In my case, the transmission fell out without warning. Just driving down the road and...BOOM! my transmission drops to the ground. That was the only memorable thing about this car.
Here's the only Dodge I've ever owned that I actually miss.
And then there was the party wagon. It was fun in it's own way. Portable keg party
And then there was this piece of shit.
Fuck the K car and this model in particular.
However, my next venture with the Pentastar was much better. Mine was white and had the 6cyl. Say what you want about FWD, but that car could boogie!
And then., my first Korean Car...
What can I say, I was broke and needed a car. It was $7800 new. As it turns out, there was a reason for that. All in all not a bad looking car, but that was about the only good thing about it. Another gutless wonder.
This one was my wife's but I drove it a bit. It really made me a Mazda fan. The 626 was a hell of a good ride.
Soon after the Dawoo died after the 3rd engine replacement (thank god for warranties) I inherited one of these, a 2000 Kia Sephia. Not a bad car, really, just gutless. Something I have found to be the case with most Korean cars. I liked it a lot actually, just wished it had a little more get up and go.
And then I went back to Chrysler for some damn reason...OOh yeah, I remember why, I was rear ended in the Kia so hard that it put the rear wheels and trunk underneath the back seat.....so with the puny settlement, I bought...
A 2001 Dodge intrepid. And I drove that for quite a few years. I just wanted more car around me. I think it may have been the last of the really big American cars. It had plenty of get up and go and was a fairly decent handling car. Too many gremlins in the system though. Something was always needing to be fixed on that Mitsubishi supplied 2.7 6 cyl. engine.
At the same time, my wife got one of these. 2000 Malibu She liked boring cars.
It was good. It never really had any problems until the end, and then it had problems that just couldn't be fixed for a reasonable price.
She let me pick out her next car though....She no longer likes boring cars.
Soon after that, I decided something small and something with more pedals in the floorboard was a little more to my liking. Screw practicality!
And there were a series of motorcycles and scooters in there too, but i won't bore you with those....Damn, I've owned a bunch of cars!

-1985 GMC Sierra: 2wd, 4 speed stick, 4.3 V6 with a quadrajet. Sold to a junkyard as a yard truck while I looked for something "more reliable" to drive to college, now half flattened under a sea container.
-1995 Chevy Monte Carlo Z34: Aftermarket high-flow cat, GM Performance parts W-Body handling kit, underdrive crank pulley, shortened top engine mounts with polyurethane inserts. Rear ended by a 2001 Chevy Impala going 75, then immediately t-boned by a 2008 RAV-4. Ironically ended up in the same junkyard the GMC went to.
-1995 Saturn SW2: ...it was a brown manual wagon? Bought it as something to get back on the road quick, sold it because it's a Saturn.
-2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Special Edition: NASCAR style spoiler and roof strakes, GM Performance parts cat-back, high flow cat, GM Performance parts suspension kit, ZZPerformance PCM. Got close to 200,000 miles, transmission was on the way out, so I dumped it before I had to replace the transmission. Again.
-2004 Pontiac GTO: Magnaflow high flow cats and cat back, JBA shorty headers, custom pcm tune, B&M deep sump transmission pan. My main car. After driving it in 2 winters and having plenty of Code Brown moments, I bought as my winter beater...
-1991 Honda Civic RT4WD: Custom lift kit using all Honda parts, 2000 Honda Civic wheels with 205 Firestone Winterforce tires.

I love the sportier front bumper as well. My '03 325ci has the same as yours, and honestly I haven't seen any other face that I like on our models, outside of ///M cars.
When I get tired of my car I try to cosmetically upgrade it. Last I did wheels, and it worked. I feel happy with it now, but there's money aside for when the time comes to swap the head and tail lights.

I got burned pretty badly on the Cherokee, spending lots of money on it and then wrecking it so I'm going to keep mods down on this one. I think the most I would do is going to be angle eyes at some point (because I have no class) and probably wheels.

1984 BMW 528e - Automatic, but it was also $200
1990 BMW 535i - Had optional LSD, and a fair amount of rust I was constantly battling
2000 Subaru Outback - 5spd, Parents car I was given while in college. Did it's job well until I unfortunately totaled it on the way to school one day
2002 VW Golf GTI - 1.8T 5spd. Owned it for 4 years/100kmi (taking it to 220kmi overall) and it taught (read: forced me to learn) almost everything I know about working on cars before the power steering rack blew a seal on the way to work last spring and I hung up the towel and sold it
2005 Saab 92x linear - 5spd, base motor. Has done a great job of getting me to work every day no matter the weather. Not the fastest or best handling car, but it's honest and balanced and I like it so far.
Other motor vehichles:
1978 Vespa Piagio Ciao, 1974 Honda CB360t, 1980 Yamaha Maxim 650, 1980 Suzuki GS450, 1978 Kawasaki kz750 twin

2004-2008: 1976 Triumph 2500TC sedan. Hand-me-down from my parents who had had it for years before me. With a lovely straight-six powering the rear wheels through a manual transmission, it was a great first-car experience. It even served as my wedding car!
2008-2009: 1984 Rover 3500 SD1. Bought it sight-unseen, flew down to get it, and road tripped it back home. Between constant rust repairs and its ridiculous fuel consumption, it financially ruined me, but I regret nothing. It was fast(ish), practical, hugely fun to drive, and the soundtrack of the 3.5 litre V8 was nothing short of beautiful.
2009-2011: 1993 Citroën Xantia 2.0 SX. Probably the 'nicest' car I've ever owned, and definitely the most 'grown-up'. It had gone a long way, but had been pampered since new, and was in mint condition. Definitely a bit unusual, but trouble-free, practical, and very pleasant to drive. If I hadn't moved to the US in 2011, I'd probably still be driving it today.
2011-present: 1985 VW Scirocco. Barn-find that I bought on a whim. It's rust-free, and the mileage is crazy-low, but after having spent nearly twenty years in a shed, getting covered in bird poop, the paint looks awful. It's been in storage for the past few years – I feel that it's too good to sell, but I haven't had the time to tackle the cosmetics.
2014-present: 1996 Volvo 850R wagon. Another impulse buy - got it really cheap because of some electrical gremlins, but after a few initial hiccups, it's been a huge amount of fun.

I like these posts.
2000 Dodge Dakota Sport - grandfather's old truck. Bought it when he retired, drove it until it threw a rod for no apparent reason. Sold for scrap.
2010 Ford Focus SE - I hated this car. Cheapest car I could find the day the Dakota died unexpectedly, which was the day before our wedding. Traded out as soon as I'd established better credit.
1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4.0L, 5sp. Bought it from a friend, drove it while wife drove the Focus until I traded it. Had to sell because wife doesn't like driving manual. Still regret it.
2013 GTI Wolfsburg - car I traded the Focus for. Loved it. Totaled after hitting a deer last year.
1983 Volvo 244DL - wife's car after I sold the Jeep. Indestructible. Sold it to a good friend, who still daily drives it. Photo is the day I sold it.
1984 Rabbit L ABA swap - daily up until last week. Bought it after totaling the 2013 GTI. Current project car. ABA is getting a new wiring harness and a supercharger this summer, chassis gets some minor suspension work, body gets paint and a new rear hatch, and new wheels/brakes/interior.
2015 GTI Autobahn DSG - bought it for the wife after selling the Volvo to my friend. Second Autobahn GTI we received in VA.
1981 Rabbit pickup diesel - intended as a build, but since winter is trying very hard to kill the Rabbit (and that car is a bitch to drive with as much ice and below zero temps as we've had), I'm in the process of parting it out completely.
2015 GTI SE manual - picked it up last week to take over daily duties from the Rabbit. This frees me up to finally get the car rebuilt right. Unfortunately, I've already started messing with it...wrapped the back half of the roof black to match the sunroof, along with black mirror caps. Currently looking for a set of Porsche Lobster Claws. Already have Bilsteins to install, and have set appointment for Unitronic stage 1+. Waiting on a quote for Oettinger front lip and skirts, AWE Tuning CAI and Track turboback...it's a terrible thing.

1995 Bronco Eddie Bauer 5.8
1993 900S 5 Speed, like this but with fog lights and a turbo hood
2001 Olds Aurora 4.0, first luxury car, was a lemon but went like hell when you floored it, and had a lot of really nice features
2012 Hyundai Sonata GL-6MT (probably the rarest car I'll ever have)
1995 Ford Taurus (green velour interior!)
1995 Oldsmobile Aurora Autobahn (teal leather interior and car phone!)
1988 Chevy C10 Silverado (400k miles on original motor and trans!)

Currently the Monte and Fusion are all that's left.
The Van had a bad transmission, The Mailbu had a wheel off and an an accident. The S-10 put a rod through the side of the block. The mustang was rusted through, the Tempo was killed when I love tapped a truck with a trailer hitch, and the Cavalier died on a snowy night after a run in with an Envoy.

Yea. I'm sticking with OEM mods, and light mods at that. I did the wheels after over a year of having the car, and I don't see myself doing the lights anytime soon - but after I do - once I get tired of it then it will be time for a new car methinks. Still that's like 2-4 years down the road, so to speak. I'll be graduated and hopefully with a good job.

Alright. I'm bored at work and this seems like a good time waster.
1st - Bought 1996 - 1985 S-10 Blazer 2 door. Brown on brown. Light weight and 4x4 meant I could places my friends with pickups couldn't dream of. Should have died in it jumping rail road tracks. Ended up selling it a few years later
2nd - Bought 1998 - 1969 Buick Skylark - Light Blue. This was a legitimate barn find. Albeit I was lied to when they said the body was all original (at least 50% bondo). But it was seriously cool, so I did not give a fuck. Ended up getting t-boned in it in Madison and had to scrap it.
3rd - Bought 2000 - 1989 Dodge Diplomat (retired cop car) - bleak gray. This was hideous, yet a lot of fun. It had the police spec powertrain, including the LSD. I got it for cheap because the prior owner didn't realize a linkage was disconnected from the tranny and just thought the car was a dog. It was anything but. I did more burnouts and drag raced more civics than I should admit. It was second to only the Blazer in "worst beat vehicles I have owned". Ended up blowing a head gasket and scrapping it after a couple of years.
4th - Bought 2000 - 1989 Honda Accord Lxi manual (LX? I don't remember) - black. My first taste of Japanese cars and manual transmissions. (side note, I was working at an auto body shop at the time and taught myself how to drive stick on customer cars) Nice car overall. Like any college age guy I immediately put a big stereo into it. I did discover that at 115mph the sun roof wouldn't close. Ended up selling it once I got vehicle five to my friends mom.
5th - Gifted 2001-2002 - 1989 Celica GTS manual - black - Got this from my stepmom as she couldn't trade it in for anything. This car was a lot of fun. I wasn't going to win any drag races, but back roads were a blast. Ended up selling it to my import-centric friend.
6th - Bought in 2003(?) - 1992 Isuzu Trooper LS Manual - maroon - I loved this truck. Great space, Spartan interior, tire on the back door. What's not to love? I immediately threw a set of big knobby tires on it and renewed my love for off roading. I once crushed a couch with it as my friend was sitting on the other end of said couch. Ended blowing a head gasket or something and selling it.
7th - Bought 2004 - 1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited - White - Great vehicle. Pulled the running boards off, threw on some bigger AT tires and we were good to go. Served me faithfully for 4 years before being traded in on vehicle #8.
8th - Bought in 2007 - 2006 Land Rover Lr3 SE (V6) - Black - Fun story on this one. I actually thought I was buying the V8. The dealership wasn't even aware these came with a V6. I threw a fit when I realized, they gave me $500 to go away, and I realized the V6 was pretty good as is. Loved this truck. I love the proportions, I love the amenities, I love the look. I got murdered by repair costs as soon as it left warranty. After getting nailed with about $3,200 in repairs in early 2013 I sold it on Craigslist. It killed me. I loved that truck. (actual picture from my ad)
9th - Bought in 2013 - 2010 Xterra Off Road - Black. This was a great vehicle. Rudimentary compared to what I was used to with the Rover, but I loved the dependability and strong engine. Like my other trucks, I pulled the running boards and threw on 33" tires. Had my wife and I not had a kid, I would still be driving it. The rear doors were horrible for people to get in and out of, and just as tiring to get baby seats in and out of. Traded it in for vehicle 10. (Actual picture)
Vehicle 10 - Bought in late 2014 - 2004 Land Cruiser - Galactic Gray Mica (Bluish gray) - In my search for a bigger vehicle for the growing family, I settled on a LC100. Bought it for the legendary reliability and spacious interior. While I have yet to pull the running boards, I have thrown 33s on it and was able to get through the same trails the Xterra did. I have a lot of big plans for this truck for both mods and adventures.
I excluded the motorcycles that I owned. I had a 1986 Honda VFR700 and a 1992 Suzuki Katana 750. I sold the VFR to get the Katana, which was monumentally stupid.

1991 VW Golf (mk2). 54 hp, 4 speed manual. My first car, my grandpa's last car. He bought it new, he died in 1993, my parents inherited it, daily drove it and gave it to me over a decade and a half later. Still own it, but it's deregistered in a barn. I stopped driving it because I wanted something with lower fuel costs and more comfort. I plan on restomodding it some time.
1997 Subaru Legacy wagon. 5 speed manual. Purchased in 2012. Bought for €500, for a rally through the Alps. Sold in 2013.
2000 Peugeot 406 coupe. 5 speed manual. LPG fuel modification. Purchased in 2012. Replaced the Golf as my daily driver, and still is my daily driver but with 74k more on the odometer than when I bought it.
1989 BMW 325i Touring. E30. Automatic. Bought in 2014. Shipped to Texas in 2014.
1989 BMW 320i Touring. E30. 5 speed manual. Bought in 2014. Awaiting sale, anyone interested?
1988 Peugeot 205 GTi. 5 speed manual. Bought in 2014. My weekend toy. Still own it, love it, thinking about selling it because I don't get around to driving it enough.
Soon: 2013 or 2014 Ford Focus wagon diesel with a 6 speed manual. Company car that's forced onto me.
Above: 406 coupe plus 325iA I shipped to Texas, below the E30 Touring I still own.

2. 1985 Chrysler Laser (NA/Auto, also plagued by rust)
3. 1988 Mazda 626 (Hatch, pretty good a FWD burnouts, apparently)

7. 1989 Nissan 240SX (Manual, never swapped, ran into a bridge, got red body panels, we called it, "The Skittle.")
8. 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS (305, Auto, lots of Edelbrock bits)
9. 1992 Geo Tracker (purchased for $50, because the previous owner ran into a deer, sold for $500 a week later)
10. 199? Mitsubishi Mirage LS Coupe (proper, "90's teal," auto)
I should point out that at this point, he owns both the 240SX, and the Monte Carlo, still. He then sells the Monte Carlo, and later the 240SX to buy a...
11. 2001 Pontiac Grand Am Coupe (manual, engine blew in 2007, put a new one in, we had it until 2011)
12. 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 S (sedan, CVT, gray, boring. CVT went after 76,000 miles. We sold it last November at 142,500, because the CVT was going bad again)
13. Audi A3 3.2 Quattro (Very rare 3.2 V6, DSG, one of ~500 white cars in the US, absolutely fantastic)

This is gonna take a little time to compile.
First, a hand-me-down from my mom...
1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL. It was moderately loaded. Cloth seats, but dual zone climate control, power driver's seat, CD/cassette, 3800 V6 motor. It had a lot of miles on it, but ran really well, until I totaled it. Looked just like the one in the picture, minus the rear spoiler.
First car I owned in my name was a 1997 Infiniti J30. This car was awesome, and really chock-full of features. Black on black. Heated leather seats, power driver and passenger seats, sunroof (which didn't work), analog clock on the dash, real wood trim, digital climate control, amazing all around. Again, this one got totaled as well. :( Mine was black, not white like the one here.
Next car was absolute crap. It was a 1999 Ford Taurus wagon. Yeah, wagon points, but junk of a car. After numerous problems, I just got rid of it. It looked just like this one shown. Bonus points for MD tags!
Next up was a 1998 Mazda Millenia S. I bought it in 2011, for $1100. It had 201k miles on the clock, and ran like a dream. I loved that car. Drove it until a bad battery cable caused a fire under the hood. Again, fully loaded car. It had a supercharged 2.3L V6. (Very small for a 6cyl, but very quick feeling) WORKING sunroof, heated leather seats, power driver and passenger seats, Bose radio, the works. It was a champagne gold color, and had different wheels than the one pictured.
After its demise, we ended up with a 1992 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4, which we only paid $100 for. We put new tires on it, a new battery, and it ran super well. Lasted until the transmission blew up without warning a few months later. But for $100, we got our money's worth. Looked a lot like the one in the pic, except it was white, and had the stock grille. Power everything, except passenger's seat, aftermarket CD player, and a broken gas gauge.
During the same time, I got a 2001 Cavalier sedan. Piece of junk. Auto tranny, power windows and locks, and almost nothing else. It was horrid. I drove it for a year and a half until the engine blew up on it, just after the warranty ran out. I had so many problems with that car it isn't even funny. Looked just like the one pictured, also white.
Following that heap of trash, I got a 1998 Oldsmobile Cutlass GLS. While still a GM vehicle, it was a far cry from the Cavalier. It was less expensive, but had way more to offer. Not-terrible V6, leather seats, power driver's seat, CD/cassette. Not fully loaded, but the only thing missing was a sunroof. Engine blew, had it replaced under warranty, and then a few short months later, a patch of black ice and another car ended its life. Looked a lot like the one pictured, except that it was a greenish color. Basically a Malibu with different badging.
Next, we have one of the ones we're still driving, a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4. Bought it last year, and it's treated us pretty well for the most part, but some issues are beginning to crop up. It's got a rebuilt title, and the smaller 4.7L V8, but it still takes whatever we throw at it. It's got cloth seats, power driver's seat, remote start (which needs fixed), CD/cassette, 4WD, third row seating, and bad power steering, but we love it nonetheless. It's beat up and rusty, but it still does its utilitarian job admirably, especially in the snow. Looks almost identical to the one pictured.
Finally, the newest addition, purchased just this month, is my awesome Infiniti I30. It's got some pretty awesome features. Leather seats, power driver and passenger seats, Bose CD/cassette player, rear power sunshade, digital climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, power everything, garage link. It's got a reliable Nissan VQ30DE-K 3.0L V6. Needs some repairs to the steering and wheel area (CV boot, inner tie rod ends, control arm bushing, brake rotors, stuff like that), but overall it's a stunning example of a car, with no body rust, especially for $800, and having just shy of 250k miles on the clock. I love it. Looks just like the one pictured. Again, it's a white car. I've had a lot of white cars.
There may be a new addition in the next couple weeks as well... stay tuned.

Cool, I actually have never seen one opened, I thought they just had a little pickup style rear opening window. I actually think that is a lot more useful

I couldn't really tell you anymore, this was about 20 years ago, but this seems similar to one of the trais that we did, a huge climb at the begining, then a bunch of ridge riding, but things could have changed since then- http://www.mtbproject.com/trail/777151

That's a cool site! I don't have a mountain bike yet, but when I do I'll check out that trail and many others in the area!

I started driving in October 2011, so that being said mine is pretty extensive.
1) 2004 BMW 325Xi: Green, Auto Trans, Tons of mechanical problems
2) 2011 Camaro LS 6 Speed: Successfully modified to look sexy, attempted to modify to go fast, attempted to modify to handle well. About $5000 down the drain.
3) 2012 Subaru WRX Base Sedan: Stage 2 plus supporting mods. Made around 360HP and 390 TQ. Full suspension mods (Bushings, Anti Lift Kit, Sways, Supports) had it handling like an absolute champ. Ended up selling it for $2000 more than I purchased it for.
4) 2006 BMW 330i 6 Speed: Bone Stock, loaded with about every option possible.
5) 2011 BMW 335i XDrive Coupe (current): Dinan Stage 2 tune and Dinan Exhaust both installed by PO.
6) 1986 Porsche Carrera 3.2 Hotrod RSR Backdate (current) : My work in progress. Hope to have her on the road by September.

1. 1987 Nissan Sentra Coupe-Flipped it on its roof two months after getting it because I was driving it too fast. My dad came with the truck, flipped it back over with the winch. I brushed the glass off of the seat, got in, and drove it home.
2. 1989 Nissan Sentra Coupe- Fell asleep at the wheel, hit a Taurus and totalled it.
3. 1985 Subaru Loyale Wagon- Bought for $150, put $100 in parts on it, drove it for six months, transmission died, scrapped it for $350.
4. 1991 Chevrolet S10 2WD 4.3- It had been T-boned and not fixed, had no clearcoat left, and was multi-colored. I drove it back and forth between KS and WV, once through a blizzard with all seasons...white knuckles and sideways antics for 1,000 miles.
5. 1997 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport-Idiot in a Silverado was stopped on a blind corner, I T-boned him and totaled it. Insurance gave me $4,000 for a car I bought for $650.
6. 1997 Subaru Legacy GT Wagon- One of my dream cars since I was in high school. Some kid had driven it through water and ruined the engine so I bought it for $400 and put an engine in it. Loved that car, but the transmission was going on it.
7. 2000 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport- Drove it for a while until it rusted out. Put a whole shitload of parts on it.
8. 2000 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport-Bought it because the engine, body and trans were in good condition, and because it was the exact same color as the previous car. Cannibalized the previous car to make this one run and drive.
